Attea Costanzo

Attea Costanzo

Speech and Language Pathologist

Attea graduated from the University of Texas at EL Paso where she earned a Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology in 2013. While at the University of Texas EL Paso she ran the Concussion Management Clinic. Her research focused on Hormone Replacement therapy on TBIs patients and how it improves verbal recall. She has experience working with patients ranging from two weeks old to 105 years old.

Attea seemed to always know that she wanted to be a SLP because, when she was in middle school Grandma had a stroke and was no longer able to speak. And as she experienced the process and healing that comes with being able to communicate once more. She nailed down, then and there that she wanted to grow up and help people on that journey. Attea found that giving people a voice was her ultimate passion and has been moving and growing in her understanding of giving people hope and a way to communicate since then.

Attea moved to Oahu with her husband and two amazing children. When she arrived, she looked into a few different places to work. She eventually found a place that fit her core, beliefs, lifestyle and that pushed her to learn more and to love each patient deeper. A place that could fill her inner nerd and allow her to be a present and active mom. She found Speech Solutions Hawaii and is thrilled to be learning, nerding-out and growing in the area of Orofacial Myology
